DC 1pc 421 arrived today.....Interesting warranty

1. Use of NOS voids the warranty
2. Header wrap voids warrant
3. Straight pipe DAMAGES/voids header/warranty.

WHY? Im not losing sleep over this, just thought it was weird they addresed these topics?

Impressions:

Performance? Dont know, header isnt installed yet.

Looks? My GReddy looked nicer, but the DC isnt outclassed by anymeans.......kamikaze sucked

Detail? DC and GReddy head to head....the DC looks like more "labor" was involved......Kamikaze looked like 4 pipes crammed into a coin slot on a coke machine compared to these.

Ill repost data from tomorrows install. Looks like the radiator fans'll hafta come out due to the ONE PIECE DESIGN of the header....o well......

Tony, what's the size of your DC header and how much did u pay for it?

My one piece RSR header goes on no problem. Just install it from the bottom up.

The size of the header is the same 2.5" that the KAMIKAZE/GReddy headers i had....I called AUTO RAGE(long time friends)in GA. I paid somewhere around 275-or 280 shipped for the "normal" coated header. Ok, ive installed the header.......WAAAAY easy...slid right up, no biggie........

PERFORMANCE? Got my LOW/MID back that the KAZI robbed from me........the top end seems to be of normal, or like before, just no JUMP at 5500 rpms. The DC is great for the money in my opinion. Ill remember to re-check the bolts 500miles later as well.

Tony, I have a DC sports 4-2-1 header too...unfortunately, it comes in a 2" collector (I bought it way back in 97..anyways, the DC header u just got comes with a 2.5" collector..which means it doesn't bolt onto stock cat?

Im sorry, i posted the wrong dimensions for my GREDDY/KAMIKAZE/DC headers.......they all had 2" collector.......NOT 2.5". Very sorry for any confusion......All my headers bolt up to a factory size(OE)cat-convertor.

For those that are really interested in having a 2.5" collector for high boost, you guys definitely check out the new DC 4-1 JDM Type R header. Build quality has got to be leagues better than the Kami and for just about the same price, high 200's, you can't go wrong with the DC. Also, don't have to worry about the gasket blowing, as this is a one piece design. I miss my one piece RSR so much after this POS Kami. I'm actually going to take a look at the new JG headres, they look very nice, waiting for the numbers to back everything up, but they should be very decent from what I hear. If not, I'll be right with you Tony, a 421 DC 1 piece...
